Monthly Update #2 – February 2025

Hi everyone! I’m happy to make this new post. A full month is gone already since the last update, that said, it was the month of February, which is actually the shortest. However, it did not stop me to make a lot out of this time, so let me lay it all out for you!

A new game in the works

First thing first, I’m glad to say that I started working on the next project for real now. That’s it. It has started, I wanted to reveal it at the end of February, but I think it’s better to wait a bit so that I can make a big reveal. But I shared some info to patreon supporters on the discord channel, I also showed the prototype to my friends, and I think they all liked the concept, so I’m excited to work on that for the next months.

What I can say, it’s that it is a “minigame collection” type of game and I’ve already done 3 minigames!

In February I was also invited to record a podcast that should come out during this month, I’ll share it as soon as it comes out. I had a great time.

New hardware, productivity +1000

What took most of my time during a whole week, is that I got a new computer!

The plan was not to get a new computer at first but to update my CPU. I bought this CPU back in 2017, so it’s now 8 years ago. I’ve been doing all of my work on a nine years old CPU, and it was fine, but it started to show its weakness recently. I had too many occurrences of my PC having a hard time, especially during live streams. So I decided to upgrade.

But you know how it is, you want to upgrade the CPU and now you have to upgrade the motherboard, the RAM, the power supply and at that point why wouldn’t you get a new case to build a brand new computer. That’s what I’ve done. I just took all the storage and the graphics card from the old computer and put that in the new computer and that’s it. It was pretty stressful to build, but now I’m really happy with the result. I’m not getting rid of the old computer, it’s staying here with me so that I have an emergency set up, just in case.

What’s really nice, is that it’s really making my workflow a whole lot smoother than before. Some issues that made my computer struggle are now just little hiccups. You have to understand that this new CPU has three times the amount of cores and each core is more powerful. It also means that I’m way more willing to just start a stream or even edit videos, since my PC is not struggling.

No videos? Again?

Yeah, talking about that… No video this month again, I don’t like that. I really want to make videos, but I have so much to do and I don’t want to half-ass it. Will march finally be the time I get back to it ? YES. No more excuses, let’s make it happen.

I wanted to share some builds of prototypes with the patreon supporters, but I think it’s better to wait until I can talk about it in a dedicated video. I released things here in the past, but if I don’t make a dedicated video about it, I feel like it’s a bit of a waste.

Fallacy Quiz update is coming…

OH! And let’s not forget the work done on a big Fallacy Quiz update I’m working on. I don’t want to make little updates, I want to make BIG updates. I like when games I got some months ago feel like new thanks to big updates, instead of having to check them regularly just to see some small improvements.

So what’s planned? A bonus menu with a fallacy bingo game and a fallacy card generator, so that you can share fallacy as pictures on social networks “You’ve just done a [name of fallacy here]”.

But that’s not all! I’m also working on a QR code mode, where people can play with their phones. Imagine just playing together, with as much people as you want, with no controller mess to deal with! That’s what I’m working on, the prototype is working, I’m just refining it at this point. I have some other stuff I want to add, so I’m not sure it will be updated in March, because it’s not my main focus anymore. Maybe at the end of the month, definitely in April.

That’s it! Thank you for following my work!

That’s it for this month! What do you think, feel free to comment on my progress! Don’t miss next update next month, have a nice month of March everyone!
