Fallacy Quiz is a game for Windows and Linux (a mac version is available from itch.io), that tests your ability to identify misleading or incorrect reasoning, also known as fallacies. Players can improve their critical thinking skills and better recognize deceptive arguments in everyday situations. They’ll be presented with various statements and must determine if they are valid or fallacious, or even identify specific fallacies in expert mode.
Solo or local multiplayer gameplay: Up to four players can play together. Two players can play on the same keyboard. Multiple scoring systems available.
Experimental Smartphone mode: Invite people to join with their smartphones, no download required
A lot of content: 200 questions.
A great variety of fallacies: 50 different fallacy types.
A virtual 3D book: The fallacies have definitions available in a glossary that the player can flip through as if it was a real one.
Two difficulty levels: In expert mode, the player must not only identify if a statement is fallacious but they must also select the specific type of fallacy.
A custom mode: Players can choose the difficulty, the number of rounds and questions and disable the timer if they want.

Tim Krief is a French independent developer who mainly uses free/libre and open-source software to create his games. He has been developing games for over ten years, participating in game jams with games played over 100,000 times. He is the creator of the game Fallacy Quiz and has been working for several years on other projects such as Octahedrone and Crafty County, both selected to showcase the open-source game engine he uses, Godot Engine, in the Godot Showreel 2023 and Godot Showreel 2020 respectively.
